Welcome to The Wizard of Paws

Pima County – October 17, 2025: Cats, Dogs, and Reptiles, Oh My! On Sunday, March 8, 2026, companion animals of all types and sizes will follow the yellow brick road at the Tucson Subaru Pets of Pima Parade and Friends of PACC Festival. In addition to 1,000+ dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, pocket pets, and farm pets, the Parade will feature bands, floats, entertainers, costumed characters, and more. This will be the 5th anniversary of the event, which has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to support lifesaving animal programs at Pima Animal Care Center and across Pima County.

Adding to the fun, the theme of the Parade will be the Wizard of Paws: There’s No Place Like Home. Theme-based activities will be announced as the parade draws closer.

FOX11 and CW18 will once again be televising the Parade, bringing the pageantry into homes across the community.

The parade takes place from 10 – 11:15 a.m., followed by the Friends of PACC Festival along 7th Street, featuring the ‘If I only had a home’ adoption event, several dozen vendors, and fun activities for people and pets alike.

Registration is now open for anyone wishing to join the procession and help raise funds! Find details on the parade website

Parade participants are encouraged to raise or donate $50+ to join the procession, with all funds supporting homeless and vulnerable pets. Kids 17 and under can register for free with their families, making the parade a fun outing for the whole family, fur babies and all. Businesses and service organizations are encouraged to show their love of pets either by hosting a team or float. Local animal welfare non-profits are also welcome to fundraise for their organization by having a team in the Parade. Working together, the parade can help save animals, whether they are at PACC or other shelters/rescues across Pima County.
