Big Fix 2024!

Friends of PACC offering community-wide free spay/neuter clinics

The BIG FIX will facilitate hundreds of surgeries over 4 days in June

PIMA COUNTY - Friends of Pima Animal Care Center is pleased to announce BIG FIX 2024! Big Fix is a week-long event offering no-charge dog spay/neuter surgeries across Pima County. Partnering with PACC’s Karen’s Karing Van and Asavet Charities to conduct the surgeries, as well as El Guero Canelo, Primavera Foundation, San Miguel High School, and Youth on Their Own for the clinic locations, the Big Fix will feature seven (7) spay/neuter clinics in areas of targeted need.

Big Fix is part of Friends of PACC’s new Spay/Neuter Support project, with a goal to help reduce future shelter overcrowding. The June clinics are only for large breed dogs (over 40 lbs or puppies whose adult weight will be 40+ lbs), which are the types of pets that are most frequently surrendered to PACC and other local shelters. Complimentary services include standard S/N surgery, vaccine, microchip, and E-Collar. For specialty situations, such as existing pregnancy or heat, charges might apply.

Registration for first-come, first-serve clinics begins at 8:00am at each location. With only 35-40 spots per day, pet families seeking services should plan accordingly. For more information, visit www.friendsofpacc.org.
