Your gift to Friends of Pima Animal Care Center is an investment in love.

Caring for the most vulnerable pets in our community is an act of love that you make possible and now you can double your impact.

All donations made through the end of the year will be matched up to $10,000 thanks to a generous local couple!

Your love is saving lives and transforming Pima Animal Care Center.

Most people come to PACC to surrender their pets because they lack the resources to care for them. They can’t afford wellness checks or vaccines so when their pets get sick, they are left with no option other than surrender to the shelter.

Animal shelters have long operated as pounds where pets are taken from their owners and communities to be systematically euthanized. They were sad and desperate places closed off from the communities they served.

Today, PACC is just the opposite. PACC is a pet resource center for everyone. It’s a place for the entire community to learn about pet ownership and receive the resources needed for success. PACC recognizes that caring for pets is a way of caring for people.

You know what an important part pets play in our lives. They are family!

Thanks to help from the community, we’ve reduced the number of pets entering PACC annually from 25,000 to 17,000. With your gifts we are saving more lives than ever.

But what do those numbers mean?  In August 2018 alone, over sixteen hundred dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, and more came to PACC. At times, we see one hundred pets a day. Many are sick. Some are abused. All are orphaned.

Even with these tremendous strides, one-third of the pets who enter PACC every year would not get the specialized medical care and other resources they need to find loving homes without the support of Friends of PACC.

Pima County is one of the largest counties in the nation and PACC is the only local shelter who never turns away a pet in need. Homeless pets need your help. PACC is their only lifeline.

Your gift today will have double the impact on the lives of pets in need. A generous local couple has offered to match all end-of-year gifts up to $10,000!

With your help, Friends of PACC can preserve that precious bond that connects both ends of the leash.
