Transforming Our PACC Dogs

The TOP Dogs team at Pima Animal Care Center (PACC) is dedicated to serving as the definitive in-house experts and an information clearing house for dog training and behavior modification. Our care mission is to empower our clients including fosters and adopters—and our stakeholders—staff and volunteers—by effectively transferring critical knowledge that enhances the lives of the dogs in our care.

We achieve this mission through multi-faceted approach centered on accessibility, standardization, and evidence based methods:

Curated Expertise: We establish and maintain an extensive, curated library of digital and print resources focused on the application of positive reinforcement methods.

Targeted Education: We provide classroom training and in-person consulting on a select set of priority topics, determined by a quantitative assessment of our community’s need and updated annually.

Standardized Support: To maximize our limited resources, we utilize standardized, cloud-accessible materials, including information packets that address the top issues reported to our clients.

Flexible Delivery: We deliver our expertise through a regular cadence of live training and versatile one-on-one consultations, available both in-person and remotely.
