Unleashing the Kindness: Donors Make a Difference for Four Key Projects on Arizona Gives Day

On April 4th, the animal-loving community in Arizona and Pima County came together in an inspiring display of generosity and support, helping Friends of PACC reach its goal during the 2023 Arizona Gives Day: Unleash the Kindness Friends of PACC fundraiser. This incredible accomplishment is a testament to the unwavering commitment of our donors to the well-being of the animals in Pima Animal Care Center's (PACC) care. By focusing their efforts on four vital Friends of PACC-funded projects—Finn's Fund, Mature Mutts, Mission PAWsible, and TOP Dogs—our donors have played a crucial role in changing the lives of countless animals and supporting our vision of providing every pet served by PACC with the resources needed for a safe, healthy, and happy future.

Throughout the day, the outpouring of support was palpable, as donors from all over Arizona contributed to these specific projects, each addressing unique challenges shelter animals face. Finn's Fund supports staffing and programming for dogs in shelter distress and with special behavioral considerations, while Mature Mutts aims to find loving homes for senior dogs. Mission PAWsible focuses on finding homes for hard-to-place felines, and TOP Dogs provides training, enrichment, and care to help shelter dogs reach their full potential. By supporting these targeted initiatives, our compassionate donors help to ensure that even the most vulnerable pets receive the care, attention, and love they deserve while awaiting their forever homes.

As we celebrate this milestone, we also reaffirm our commitment to the pets of Pima County and our dedication to working hand in hand with PACC to transform the lives of animals in need. Arizona Gives Day has allowed Friends of PACC to strengthen its connection to the community and amplify its mission to create a brighter future for shelter animals through these four key projects. We are deeply grateful to each and every donor for their unwavering support, and we look forward to continuing our journey together in making Pima County a haven for all pets in need and the people who love them.
