Spay/Neuter Support (SNS):

A Proactive Step Towards Pet Population Control

About SNS

Friends of PACC has launched the SPAY/NEUTER SUPPORT project, nicknamed SNS, as a long-term, targeted, and systemic means to address chronic overpopulation at PACC and Pima County shelters. SNS offers access to affordable spay/neuter surgeries for those who need it most. Spaying and neutering is a safe and effective means to avoid unwanted litters and reduce certain health risks for cats and dogs. This in turn makes it the most impactful method to help reduce shelter animal intake and euthanasia.

 SNS unfolds its mission through:

  1. Annual mega-clinic events, that will be detailed on our social media and email before every event.

  2. Community clinics via PACC's mobile unit, Karen's Karing Van.

  3. The ongoing SNIP (Spay/Neuter Inclusion Program) which offers year-round access to affordable services.

SNS Depends on Your Support

Recognized as the most effective strategy for controlling pet populations, a systematic spay/neuter program is vital. SNS, funded by Friends of PACC, is an endeavor to proactively reduce shelter intake, ensuring resources are allocated to pets in dire need. By expanding the pool of funds through community support, we can extend our reach to families requiring the most assistance, fostering a community where every pet is cherished. SNS is a stand-alone fundraising effort, and donations will be used strictly for spay/neuter support and emergency care for pets. Your support will make all the difference in providing preventative care, reducing chronic shelter overcrowding, and saving the lives of animals today and in the future.

🤓 Did you know?

According to studies, one unspayed female dog AND her offspring can produce up to 67,000 puppies in just six years.

In cats, one unspayed female AND her descendants can result in a staggering 370,000 kittens in seven years.

Spaying and neutering are critical in preventing these exponential increases, helping to reduce the number of homeless pets and the strain on shelters.

Impact of Your Donation

In mere years, a single unaltered pet can lead to hundreds of offspring, perpetuating the cycle of shelter overcrowding. Your contribution to SNS not only aids in preventative care but also paves the way for a future where fewer animals face the uncertainty of shelter life. Join us in this vital mission—your support has the power to change lives.

To support this crucial initiative, please consider becoming a monthly donor. Even a modest monthly donation of $5 accumulates to a significant $60 a year—contributing greatly to our efforts.
