Year in Review!

Dear Friends, Supporters, and Followers of Friends of PACC,

As we reflect on the past year, we are grateful for all we've accomplished together. It's been a challenging year, but thanks to your support, our mission of supporting Pima Animal Care Center and enhancing its efforts to save the lives of pets in need is truly making a difference. We are so grateful for your support in helping us achieve our goals.

Here are some of the highlights of 2022:

- We had a fantastic turnout for our inaugural Tucson Subaru Pets of Pima Parade on Tucson's Historic 4th Ave in March — which raised substantial funds to further help pets in need. And we are thrilled to announce that we will have our second POPP (Pets Of Pima Parade) event on Sunday, February 19th, 2023, on Historic 4th Ave! Be sure to register at www.PetsOfPimaParade.com

- It brings us great joy to announce that the Mobile Medical Unit is being constructed for delivery in 2023. This mini-mobile version of the PACC clinic will provide underserved communities in Pima County with minor but vital pet care services, including, but not limited to, spay/neuter services, microchip and vaccination services, wellness, and dental.

- Together, we met our $75k goal in April for Arizona Gives Day. This day highlighted the KFT (Keeping Families Together) program, which assists those experiencing housing, food, and veterinary medical care insecurities — ensuring furry family members don't end up in the shelter and families stay together. With your help, we have significantly increased support for KFT, providing support for hundreds of additional families.

- Your donations to the Safety Net Foster project have allowed us to significantly expand the number of participants, creating a lifeline for pet families suffering through temporary hardships such as domestic violence, housing transition, and hospitalization.

- We helped dozens of pets with unique health challenges through our Medical Pet program, including remarkable lifesaving support for Andromeda and our Hope 4 the Huskies puppies Kolby, Storm, and Avalanche.

- In addition, our Friends of PACC Fund-riders raised $25k in the 2022 El Tour de Tucson. This small but mighty team of fundraisers comprises dedicated volunteers and animal welfare supporters in Tucson. Funds from this event will further Friends of PACC's mission to enhance PACC's efforts to save the lives of pets in need.

-We are proud to report that we met our Giving Tuesday goal of $85k in November. Funds raised will go towards helping to make the dog kennels at PACC less noisy and provide some comfort for all who come to work, volunteer, and possibly adopt. And, of course, to help ease the anxiety of the dogs waiting for their furever home. Thank you for helping us to "Decimate the Decibels."

-Lastly, we are humbled to accept the Arizona Daily Star Readers' Choice Award for Best Non-Profit for the third year in a row and Best of Show honors. (Best of Show is attained by receiving the most votes across ALL categories.)

We shared many stories throughout the year on social media and via email. Make sure you are following and subscribed to get all the stories! We couldn't have done any of this without your support. We are grateful to be a part of such a compassionate, caring, and animal-loving community.

Looking ahead to the new year, we have even more exciting plans in store. We can't wait to see what we can accomplish together.

Sincerely,

Friends of Pima Animal Care Center
