Tucson Real Estate Team's Fundraising Initiative Benefits Pima Animal Care Center
Committed to community enrichment year-round, The Vanguard Group: eXp Realty, established the “Vanguard Gives” program in December 2020. Vanguard Gives is a community initiatives program with specific quarterly themes focused on non-profit organizations serving populations with great need in Southern Arizona.
Tucson, AZ -- In quarter two of 2021, the Vanguard Gives philanthropic initiative was focused on supporting Pet Adoption in the community. The Vanguard Group: eXp Realty, in partnership with The Sundt Team at V.I.P. Mortgage and additional V.I.P. Mortgage offices in Tucson, raised a total of $5,100.00 for Pima Animal Care Center. A check presentation ceremony was held on Wednesday, July 7th at Pima Animal Care Center’s shelter located at 4000 N Silverbell Rd, Tucson, AZ, 85745. In addition, the Vanguard Group and The Sundt Team's offices ran a “Doggie Drive” and collected over 50 gently used blankets and towels from April 1 through June 30 to support PACC’s ongoing need for these items.
Torre Chisholm, Development Director at Friends of Pima Animal Care Center said, "The Vanguard Group's donation will support our Keeping Families Together (KFT) project. This fund helps keep pets where they belong - with the people who love them, instead of in a shelter. Through KFT, we help pet owners facing temporary hardships keep their pets healthy, happy, and at home. This includes food and supply distribution, behavioral support, temporary boarding, and minor medical assistance. The average cost to help a family through KFT is $325, as compared to $525 if families surrender their pets and we have to rehome them. So, the project is cost-effective and better for people and pets. Vanguard's support not only helped to create 21 new families, but it also helped to save 16 existing families.

For quarter three of 2021, The Vanguard Group: eXp Realty's focus shifts to Kids Causes.
Monies raised will directly benefit Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Southern Arizona and Angel Charity for Children.
$100 from every home closing is donated to the Vanguard Gives fund along with any additional funds donated by a participating partner.
